Health Management Information Systems

Mission

The Health Management Information Systems aims at educating their students, within the period of two years, to get acquainted with the management of health information and coping with administrative and technological issues and issuing important managerial orders. We intend to grant our students best diploma degrees in the area of interest to be qualified of work opportunities at general and private sector hospitals. We hope that our graduates enhance the administration and technological areas of the hospitals within the framework of the Health Management information systems.

Vision

The Institute envisions a great advantage in the establishment of this department as there is are no educational bodies in the region of Kurdistan that offer courses in the Management of Health Information Systems. Additionally, the hospitals in the region do not have graduates who have a degree in the field of Management of Health Information Systems. Consequently, with our future graduates, the administration of the hospitals with the use of modern technologies, will excel at organizing the administration of the hospitals.

Objectives

• To develop and enhance the experience of the students in the realm of Management of Health Information Systems making use of information technology systems.
• Supporting the management of Health centers to provide more health-related services.
• Benefitting from information systems to administer and manage health and medical centers.
• Developing the abilities and potentials of those who have a degree in the field of Medicine or Health to work more effectively in the administration of hospitals and health administration in general.
• Developing the abilities and potentials of the students with regards to information systems of doctor’s clinics and hospitals’ management.
• Enhancing the decision-making abilities of the students to issue administrative orders.
• Managing the medical units with state of the art technologies via information technologies.
